Pan ( 2015 ) – my own thoughts

FeaturedPan ( 2015 ) – my own thoughts

Hi guys.

So lately, I have been hearing a lot about the movie Pan of the Warner Bros, all the positive and negatives reviews and recommendations were driving me crazy. I guess the best way to find out is to go to the movie after all.

I’m not saying that I wasn’t excited at all. In fact, the trailers had got me waiting for months before its premiere. After all, even though I’m not British, Peter Pan had always been my childhood, and this may just be a random fact that I still remember very much from the Disney movies.

Anyway, I had a great first impression with the trailers, despite the poster ( Yeah, it wasn’t my type ), actors’ performances are brilliant, the story is easy to understand,… How can anyone criticize it so badly? Oh wait, did I mention the accent? Delicious! Especially when it comes to Levi Miller’s voice, all I can say is AMAZING! When I was watching the movie with 2 other friends, one girl one guy, she and I just couldn’t stop talking about it, so much that my guy friend started to look at us as if we were pedophiles ( Ewww, we’re so not! ).

Another new fact I’d learned before going to Pan was that many Neverland scenes in it were actually film in Vietnam, which makes me want to see this movie even more. Oh yes, and the popcorn combo. Instead of a normal straw, we had the sword Peter uses in the movie for that. I’d love to post a photo for that, but I’m afraid copyrights won’t allow me doing so.

Stunning movie, yes, obviously. But there is just something I don’t really understand. Is it just me or the logic in Pan is not correct? The movie was set in World War II, while Disney’s Peter Pan in return to Neverland was also put in the same period. What? That can’t be, right? I honestly have no idea.

Hello world!

FeaturedHello world!

Hi guys! So finally I did it, I finally started my own blog! Okay, I guess I’ll introduce myself. My name is Judy, a not-exactly-very-nerdy teenage girl. When I first got the concept of making my own blog, people keep telling me I should pick one certain topic and only write about it. At first I was like: ” Wow, good idea! “, but as I read more blogging sites, I realized that it’ll probably be better for me to roam free from this to that. Mainly because I’m not actually the stick-to-it kind of a person, so eventually I’ll get bored with something and switch to something else ( temporarily, of course! ). I name it girlofeverything for a reason. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy my blogs! Happy blogging! ( This one is in the welcoming post, I’m just gonna keep it because, seriously, am I the only one who thought of The Hunger Games? )

Movie Review: Minions

Movie Review: Minions

The Minions movie premiere was on June 27th in the U.S.

A brief summary of this long-expected blockbuster. Minions, the…well, minions of Gru in Despicable Me and its sequel. Long, long ago, even before human had ever lived on Earth, there were the Minions. And they live for one reason: to serve the evilest boss…

Every time I think of that, I personally can’t stop laughing! If you’re fan, you’ll know how…uh, “helpful” Minions are. If no, then imagine a bunch of cutesy little monsters accidentally killed their master every single time.

In my country, Vietnam, the premiere will be on July 10th. Most people will have to wait, but then there are sneak shows on the 29th and 30th of June! That’s 11 days earlier than most of the world!

Anyway, right from the start, the movie was downright hilarious. I guess every cartoon has some illogical details in it but come on, that’s the recipe for fun.

I think the artists had really focused on developing our main trio: Kevin, Stuart, and Bob. Especially Kevin, who was the leader of their quest, has to take care of the childish ( but incredibly adorable ) Bob and whatever-i-just-want-my-guitar Stuart.

My favorite scene was Herb, Scarlet Overkill ( I know, weird names! ) tried to hang this little guys but since Minions all look like bananas and don’t have necks, the hanging rope turned into their ideal swing.

Really cool movies, I’d rate it 8.5 out of 10!
